Overzealous advocacy and going over the heads of line prosecutors may backfire during an SEC or DOJ presentation, top FCPA officials said at the recent ACI FCPA conference during a town hall presentation. The DOJ, SEC and FBI officials shared their tips for presenting to and negotiating with the government as well as their insights on the timing of cooperation, and they discussed the state of compliance programs today, including the hot topic of messaging apps.
